These horses were visited on February 23 & 24. These Colonial Spanish Mustangs are on the verge of being voted off the island. There are currently over 100 horses living in Corolla and there is a mandate to decrease the number to 60, therefore some are in desperate need of adoption. The Corolla Wild Horse Fund is trying to keep these horses wild and free and is working with the Horse of the Americas registry to sustain the breed.
